Rockport Tide Chart

The pattern
One high and one low daily with around a foot and a half of range — the classic Texas diurnal tide. The wind often matters as much as the tide here; a hard north can blow the flats dry regardless of the tables.
Redfish flats
Aransas Bay’s redfish tail the flooded grass on the high water — the area’s signature sight-fishery. Speckled trout work the shorelines and the Lydia Ann Channel; the jetties give up tarpon in season.
Boating
The flats go skinny fast outside the marked channels — pole or troll the skinny water. The ship channel carries big traffic; mind the tankers. For the region, see our Gulf Coast tide guide.
