Simple Tides is designed to provide tide, weather, and marine information. This page explains what data is requested, how it's used, and how ads and cookies work on this site.
Location data
If you allow location access, your browser location is used only to center the map, estimate station distance and route timing, and improve local station discovery. Location is not required to use the app, and you can search by city or station name instead.
Third-party data sources
Simple Tides requests data from NOAA CO-OPS, weather.gov, Open-Meteo, Sunrise-Sunset, and FarmSense to provide forecasts and chart details. See our About page for what each source provides.
Cookies and advertising
Simple Tides shows ads through Google AdSense to keep the tool free to use. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You'll see a short cookie notice on your first visit; declining does not block ads outright but limits how they're personalized. You can control ad personalization directly through Google's Ads Settings, and learn more about how Google uses data in the Google Partner Sites policy.
Analytics
Site analytics (via Cloudflare Web Analytics) are used to understand aggregate traffic and improve site performance. This does not use cookies or track individuals across sites.
Personal data
No account is required. Personal data is not sold. The app does not store personal profiles.
