Pensacola Tide Chart
Pensacola runs on the Gulf Coast’s signature diurnal tide — one high and one low a day, barely a foot or two — and on these sugar-white beaches, the whole day’s water movement happens in a single easy-to-read cycle.

The pattern
One high, one low, one to two feet of range — the classic northern Gulf diurnal pattern. Around full and new moons the range stretches slightly. The simplicity is the point: one glance tells you the whole day’s story.
Beach and pier fishing
Pensacola Beach and the Gulf pier are pompano, whiting, and redfish territory, fished on the single daily move of water. Offshore, the pass leads to red snapper and grouper grounds — the charter fleet times the pass with the tide.
Boating the pass
Pensacola Pass runs real current on the tide change — the gateway to the Gulf deserves the usual inlet respect. Inside, Big Lagoon and Santa Rosa Sound are the sheltered playgrounds. For the wider Gulf, see our Gulf Coast tide guide.
