Coxsackie Tide Chart
Coxsackie — the Hudson Valley river town on the tidal Hudson — feels the Atlantic’s pull more than a hundred miles inland; the river here runs a mixed semidiurnal tide of around four to five feet, lagging the Battery by roughly two hours.

The pattern
Two unequal highs and two unequal lows daily with around four to five feet of range — the ocean’s tide traveling up the tidal Hudson. High water here runs roughly two hours behind New York Harbor, and the current — not just the height — is what river users watch.
Stripers and the river
The Hudson’s spring striped-bass run pushes far upriver — Coxsackie sits in prime striper water. Riverfront parks and ramps give bank and boat access; see our best time to fish tides guide for timing the bite on a tidal river.
Boating
The tidal Hudson is a working river — tugs, barges, and channel markers rule. The current runs strongest mid-ebb and mid-flood; plan crossings and docking around slack. For the region, see our New England tides guide.
