Hyannis Tide Chart
Hyannis — the Cape Cod harbor town and ferry gateway to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard — works a mixed semidiurnal tide of around four feet. Note the NOAA station sits at Hyannis Port, the village just west of the harbor.

The pattern
Two highs and two lows daily with around four feet of range — gentle Cape Cod water. The tide floods Hyannis Harbor and Lewis Bay, then drains the flats of the inner harbor — with so little swing, the current at the harbor mouth matters more than the height.
Ferries and the Kennedy town
The fast ferries to Nantucket and the Steamship Authority boats to Martha’s Vineyard leave from Hyannis Harbor, and the Kennedy legacy — the compound at Hyannis Port, the museum downtown — draws visitors year-round; see our best time to fish tides guide.
Boating
Hyannis Harbor’s marked channel is the way in — the surrounding Nantucket Sound shoals, including the notorious Horseshoe, demand respect. Fog is the summer hazard. For the region, see our New England tides guide.
